Hi, This is well done ! Dual speakers, chinese/pinyin/english are easy to read. Words are frequently repeated. Review is good for reinforcement. The real life conversation is very good and very helpful that it is repeated. Thanks, LA Guy

Nice! But some things that could be done better. Try filming on a white or light background. May be a fine point, but color has a palpable effect on emotion and mood. What is the lady hiding under the hat? ^_^ Otherwise, good work.

Is "qu" and "shi" of the word chaoshi pronounced the same? As in "shur" for both? Or is "qu" pronounced as "chur" and chao"shi" pronounced "shaoshur"? I'm a beginner in Mandarin. Thanks

@heyitsmeqim

了 means have/already. E.g: (Have) you eaten? 你吃饭(了)吗? Ni chi fan (le) ma? So if it's a question you add le(了) but it comes tgt with the ma(吗). You would normally reply with 我吃了. Wo chi le. Which means I have eaten

Don't think two is necessary for this video. It's more what they know than how to apply and the audio is not good. Maybe some role-play with subtitles would have been more useful. Why hasn't teaching evolved it seems to be stuck in the times.

Wed., Sept. 09, 2015. This video is really good, ----- but it has something I did not like, -------It is done too fast ------, there is no time for the student to learn slowly the words and sentences presented, --no time to assimilate the words and sentences -----. TOO FAST!!! ------ GO SLOWER -----GIVING TIME TO THE STUDENT ------- TO READ, PRONOUNCE AND ASSIMILATE THE WORDS AND SENTENCES -----. My regards.

I'm sorry but listening to Louie is getting on my nerves. His casual, laid back posture and his low toned voice( at times almost unintelligible) is so annoying to hear. I'm a teacher and if I used that style I think I'd put my students to sleep! Why is he in so many of the videos anyway? There are so many excellent native Chinese/English speakers out there, we need an American to show off his Mandarin?
