POPITI - to finish drinking
NAPITI SE - to get drunk
JESTI - to eat
POJESTI - to finish eating
NAJESTI SE - to be full
PREJESTI SE - eat too much
Ujutro uvijek pijem vodu i čaj.
In the morning I always drink water and tea.
Vodu sam popila do pola, a čaj do kraja.
I drank the water half-way, and I finished the tea.
Uvijek kad idem van s Marijom, napijem se.
Always when I go out with Marija, I get drunk.
Volim jesti u restoranu.
I love to eat in a restaurant.
Kada su porcije prevelike, ne mogu sve pojesti.
When the portions are too big, I can't finish everyting.
Ne mogu više, hvala, najeo sam se.
I can't eat more, thank you, I am full.
Za Božić sam se prejeo - pojeo sam više nego što mogu.
