Ahoj Rich!!! I liked this lesson, it is easy to remember the vocabulary:D I´ve reviewed the lesson about pronunciation, you explained that ě changes the sound of the preceding letter, so ně is pronounced as ňe, right? But I´d like to know why is něco pronounced as "nie" instead "ňe"? Díky!!! Ps This is the best ending of all your videos!!! I laughed a lot with it :D Regards!!!

Gwen Rodriguez Ahoj Gwen, thanks for your comment. Perhaps this is just my mistake in the video. The first sound should be the same for něco, někdo, někdy! The end of the video I was having problems turning the video off :) I thought about editing it out but decided to leave it, you can enjoy seeing my struggles :)

Learn Czech with Rich I´m sorry!!! I thought that there were different sounds :( I have realized that in Czech, there is often an exception for the rules, so I didn´t think that it was odd. It was a good idea not to edit the ending :D And by the way, can I ask you what happens at 3:53-3:54? :)
@LearnCzechwithRich10 жыл бұрын
hi Gwen, at 3:53, I edited out a small section of the video where I made a mistake! rather than record the video again I just cut something :)

Makes a lot of sense, but it raises the question, do these words also have a full declension paradigm like normal nouns? What if I want to say "with something"? Is there an instrumental case for něco?
@LearnCzechwithRich6 жыл бұрын
yes there is - něčím these can all be declined

hey, i learned "when" as "když," is that not really true and it should be "kdy?" or are they both okay?
@vojtechcepek78357 жыл бұрын
Hi, "když" can be translated like: when, if, as, whilst. "Kdy" is just: when. ;-)

I think the explanation from Vojtech Cepek is pretty good :)

Já také.:-D přidám jednu říkanku na procvičování Ř : Kmotře Petře, kmotře Petře, nepřepepři toho vepře. Jestli kmotře Petře vepře přepepříš, sám si kmotře Petře vepře sníš. :-D. A mohou si u toho ukousnout jazyk.
