The idea is to be in as relaxed or calm a state as possible. Put on headphones if you need to. Best time is the right before you go to bed. The brain is supposedly more receptive in that relaxed state.

I am Dutch and it depends Wich dutch you want to learn the one with a hard G or the one with the soft G The hard g is what you hear in this video and sounds like having something stuck in your throat and you what it out, the soft g sounds like a gentle blow/soft wind. You hear the soft g only in the province of Braband and, limburg even the dutch speaking Belgium people speak with a soft G.

Best video soo far , I have learned for 3 months everyday 4h for day from 6 am till 10 am and here I am speaking without problem just writing and some long words I am still learning . I am from Kosovo and our albanian language is total different from nederlands it sounds more italian -french but anyway it helps us a lot to learn other languages because of 36 letters in our alphabet that is very helpful , now I speak 5 languages being thankful from this video the nederlands is 5th languages for me 👋🔥

This is actually very helpful. One gets to know the melody sound rythm of a different language. One can feel actively how the tongue will bend and move in the own mouth. For me it s easy as i speak german and english. I can understand 30% written dutch without a notion of it. It s like a cousin language of German.

The hard 'g' that you often hear with, for example, the word * 'G'oed * (good) is actually spoken in a soft way, such as when someone strangles you. The 'G' that you hear every time in the video actually comes from a dialect from Holland.

This is a great way of learning the basics of the language. I wonder if you could make a similar one for Frisian or even Old English as I think they're closely related. It's a shame that Old English is hard for us to understand nowadays but there is a lot of interest in rediscovering our ancient language
