Hi! At 8:55 you said that there are other ways to host points on top of a surface besides custom packages. Could you name that one? It seems like I have some problems with Rhythm package on my machine and it might be useful to know anyway

To get the top surface some alternatives include: - Get all face(s) with Z vector > 0.1 or thereabouts - Get highest face by centroid with largest area

I tried the first lesson with Element.SetType, but I couldn't find the node, but this script is easier and simpler. Thanks for your effort really appreciate it.

Thank you for the very informative demonstration. It seems to work great for square floors, but do you think it could work for triangular surfaces? I keep getting people outside of the floor area.

To deal with triangular surfaces you will need to first filter the points by whether they intersect the base surface. As it is a trimmed surface, the domain works across the U/V isocurves which go beyond the surface itself.

Great demo. I had notice that the Rhythm node, if you choose a polygonal surface, then the families can lie outside the surface. It seems like the parameters u,v doesn't consider the limits of the solid. I found how to deal with this issue with "Geometry.Doesintersect" between the points and the surface and the filter.byboolmask

Ah yes that would make sense... UV is determined via isocurves I think which can indeed exist beyond. If you needed a certain number of people, a Python while loop could help too, keep looping until X people are intersecting. It would be the best way to deal with people vs people intersection also.

Hi how r u...if some one learn all of ur dynamo tutorial series i.e...12 total....so this is beginners series or advance or intermediate.... I mean to say suppose I watch and practise all 13 tutorial of dynamo series ....where I'm in dynamo after learn these tutorial...should i call me beginners level or intermediate.level..to some one ...thanku v much . Take care ..bye

Beginner to intermediate, but I let my viewers decide how experienced they feel. There is much more to dynamo and you would need to begin creating your own scripts and experimenting before reaching an intermediate to advanced level. As this is just a KZbin series it doesn't offer any formal qualification.
