I'm not Kevin but I think it sounds better if you say it like this: - Dear Kevin and Lisa, please tell us about THE MISTAKES THAT U.S AMERICANS FREQUENTLY DO. - You use the auxiliary "Does" for third person singular (he, she it). - Children NOT -childS-. - Well, if you're talking about one or two year-old kids, I think they're not able to speak yet. # I might be wrong but tjis is my point of view. I think it depends on the tempo, the speed of speech. Shorter forms occur in rapid speech.
@fredylopez24777 ай бұрын
You can say it both ways, they're both correct, it depends on the speed you're speaking. - If you're speaking slowly you say or pronounce / tōō / or like you texted, /"tu"./ - If you're speaking fast, you say or pronounce / tə /, it's kind of a schwa, not -ta-. But anyway, the correct pronunciation is: / tōō /.

Ironically Marina's (and to be fair, and many other creators out there) content always gave me a pet peeve, especially the "Don't say [insert the word here]. Say this instead" or "Expressions to you sound like a native" Like... what? I'm Brazilian and as person who have English as a second language, this titles makes me uncomfortable/unmotivated as a learner, because is the same if an U. S citizen who is learning Portuguese only consuming content from people who change the grammatical rules between Brazilian Portuguese and European Portuguese with no research Luckily, I found this channel focusing on grammar (my weakest point). It's really concerning that content format that Marina put online is so popular among the ESL community : /

Grammar, Phonetics and Vocabulary, of course, are the most essential, relevant and important things when learning a foreign language, it takes time but it's worth it. It took me one year and a half to learn all this, along with to learn how to speak it, understand it, write it and read it well, it all depends on interest, effort and time you put into it I mean, invest BUT, all of above is useless if you don't practice the language, I mean, you gotta speak the language all the time, constantly, I speak from experience. But I came to the conclusion that living in the USA for a while helped me a lot. Thanks for reading my comment.

We highly recommend (that) Marina not teach English. We recommend (that) she instruct her native language. Since she keeps making the same basic English grammar mistakes. Such as articles, tenses,countable, and uncountable nouns. And even basic pronounciation! Lesson plans are required before teaching. There are certfied schools for educators.

@ARTOSMAN7 ай бұрын
Hello my dear, first of all, saying "someone can explain me?" is incorrect. The correct form is "can someone explain it to me?" And here is my explanation: During her advertisement for her American English course, she shows some pages she created to teach you vocabulary to speak like a native speaker in the USA. There you can see the word "bunch" with a description and a picture of a bun.
@apolina797 ай бұрын
perhaps Mogilko was referring to a bunch of hair instead of a 'bun'🤣😂

The KZbin even warns or censors channels for silly reasons. But it seems that the platform has no interest in analyzing channels that teach English incorrectly. Should they really do that, or is it okay to leave it up to other KZbinrs? My opinion is that KZbin should be more free than controlling.
@fredylopez24777 ай бұрын
Well, they should that but KZbin doesn't care about that problem at all, and if they don't do it, to me, it's just fine to leave it to other youtubers who are responsible, have ethics and want to earn their money honestly the most important thing is that: - People who want to learn a foreign language, learn it correctly, as simple as that👍.
