Learn a very simple and easy expression in English: ‘-ish’. In conversation, we often add ‘-ish’ to the end of a word to change its meaning. What is the difference between green and greenish? What colour is my hair? Is it brown or is it reddish, blondish, or brownish? I’ll also teach you some other ways in which the suffix ‘-ish’ appears in English. Take the quiz on this lesson here: www.engvid.com/learn-english-...

Is it correct to add the suffix-ish at the end of a noun? Beginer is not an adjective ; confirm it with Ms Amma , pls.

This video was awesome! I'm so glad to see you making videos again. I'm a native speaker, but this still helped me. I'm 41 years old and seldom have used the 'ish' in casual conversation. All of a sudden I hear all of these young people using the 'ish' in casual conversation all of the time. You explained what this is and if it's being used properly. Obviously, I knew words like childish or sheepish were correct, but I wasn't sure about it being used to add to other words so casually.
