Sure, we'd be happy to help you understand the differences between these words! When we want to talk about someone who sells things, we can use different words depending on the situation. Here's a breakdown of what each of these words means: "Seller" is a general term that can refer to anyone who sells something, regardless of their gender or where they work. "Salesman" usually refers to a man who sells things. We use this word when we want to talk specifically about a man who works in sales. "Saleswoman" is the same, but for a woman. We use this word when we want to talk specifically about a woman who works in sales. "Sales clerk" is a term that usually refers to someone who works in a store and helps customers buy things. They might be the person who rings up your purchase or helps you find what you're looking for. "Store clerk" is similar to a sales clerk, but it can also refer to someone who works in a store but doesn't necessarily help customers buy things. For example, they might stock shelves or clean up the store. "Shop assistant" is another term for a sales clerk. This word is often used in British English. So, which word you use depends on what you're trying to say. If you want to talk about someone who sells things, you can use "seller." If you want to be more specific and talk about a man who sells things, you can use "salesman." And if you want to talk about a woman who sells things, you can use "saleswoman." If you're talking about someone who works in a store and helps customers buy things, you can use "sales clerk" or "shop assistant." We use both American and British English. I hope that helps! 😀

Bonjour, dans la phrase : A cashier works with money at a register. Et qui est traduit par : Un caissier travaille avec de l’argent à une caisse enregistreuse. Après vérification, pour avoir la traduction de caisse enregistreuse, il manque un mot, le dictionnaire indique : cash register. Merci et bonne journée!

Thank you for your, as always, insightful comment😀Both terms "cash register" and "register" can be used to refer to a machine that is used to record and calculate sales transactions in a retail or hospitality setting. However, "cash register" specifically emphasizes the function of the machine in handling cash transactions. In contrast, "register" can be a more general term that may also refer to digital point-of-sale systems that can handle credit card transactions, inventory management, and other business functions beyond just recording sales. So, whether to use "cash register" or "register" may depend on the context and the specific features and functions of the machine being referred to.

You're welcome! "Воспитатель детского сада" на английском языке переводится как "preschool teacher" или "kindergarten teacher". Hope that helps! Let me know if you have any other questions. 😊👍
