Great Video. I use ON1 and it is also very easy in ON1, but I like to watch these LR tutorials because several of the tips translate easily from one software to another. Thanks.

Nice video. One question I have is how does Lightroom decide which parts to pick from which image when doing the blend?
@PereaPhotography
@PereaPhotography 3 жыл бұрын
I don’t know the specific algorithm, but my guess would be using the higher luminosity values of the darks, maybe an average value of mistimes, and lower luminosity values of the brights. Making sure to use the best from each exposure so the highlights and shadows both have detail. In my experience it’s usually pretty accurate.

You do such a great job, Mike. I am fairly new to Lightroom. A lot of my photos I leave "un-touched" due to being afraid of messing it up (which I've done a lot). I just don't know where to learn how to use Lightroom in a comprehensive way that allows me the competency to use it proficiently. (I've watched all sorts of KZbin videos) There is so many options it's overwhelming. If you have any good sources, please share! Thanks! luv yer work!

Tim Webber thanks Tim! I have some tutorials on my website that are great for people wanting to learn Lightroom and Photoshop. They aren’t “how to edit your photos,” but more of the features of the software, how to use different panels, importing/exporting etc. thank you for watching!

Mike thanks again for your time, did you use the bracketing option on your d850? Or did you change setting manually?
