J'aime souvent faire des pauses pour "shadow" vos phrases en voix haute. Je trouve cela très utile.

j'aime lire des publicités politiques, parce qu'elles utilisent un langage basique pour tout le monde, mais pas parce que j'aime la politique

Great, please put in beginning, kid like, easy French reading! Have levels. And, I must have missed that reading helps greatly with French speaking comprehension. And, mostly, lots of people are driving so, after each, or before, each paragraph, give the English translation verbally...lots of people work, drive, and fly, and cannot look at the screen!

Understandable but that messes up the mindset if you constantly switch back and forth between 2 languages. Better to listen to something more at our level when doing an activity that prevents looking at the French words.

as I wrote earlier, they need beginner French reading...like for kids, but really for beginners.
