In Lesson 30 you will learn how to “Order in a restaurant”
Ordering food in a restaurant in a new language can be challenging and in this video you will learn how to do that in a simple language. You will be doing a short dialogue in a restaurant, along with how to place an order and how to react when asked something in the same situation.
Do remember that this dialogue is one example of the conversation one can have in a restaurant. To practice more, you can write a similar dialogue or role play one with your friend or a learning partner.

Hello Good Afternoon! First of all thanks for your time/ help! In 1:16 der Kellner (Maskulin) / die Kellnerin (Feminin). Here der & die denotes a gender of a sentence. But in 1:20 der Gast (Singular)/die Gäste (plural). Here der & die denotes Singular and plural form of a sentence. My doubt is, How to use in which place we can use der/die as a gender & der/die as a singular & plural form in a sentences? Thanks in Advance!

Those are called bestimmte Artikel in Nominativ for Maskulin : Der Feminin : Die Neutral : Das and for all case M/F/N the plural form will be : Die also identifying particular subject to be Male, Female or Neutral has no specific rule it comes with practice. for e.g. der Hund die Katze das Baby die Eltern

I'd like to know why my German fiancé uses gern with möchte most of the time. He said there's a difference when you don't use it, but I didn't comprehend what it is. His sentence was "Möchtest du gerne deutsch lernen?" Also, he calls Sandwich "abschnitte Fleisch auf Brot." That's what his 100-year-old Opa says too.
