In the U.S. we say either Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays (especially to those who may not celebrate Christmas), and Happy New Year. We don't have a lot of formal wishes that we express beyond that. "Wishing you all the best in the New Year" might be something you write on a holiday card. We eat all kinds of cookies and candy throughout the season, as they are very common gifts. Many people make homemade cookies (of all kinds!) or sweets like peppermint bark (very easy and very delicious!) to give to friends, neighbors, teachers. People from different backgrounds may have different traditional desserts to serve with the Christmas or Christmas Eve meal, but in my family we usually go with pies, similar to Thanksgiving: pumpkin, apple, pecan and sometimes a "sugar cream pie" which is a simple and delicious dish that isn't super well known and comes from the state of Indiana. Chronia polla!!

@@tavapaschos3136 thank you for the window in Christmas and New Year's U.S.! We say Καλές Γιορτές too, Happy Holidays, for the people not celebrating Christmas. In Greece we also give to family, friends and neighbors our homemade desserts if we can make them. Otherwise the bakeries and pastry shops are overflowing with them and we give the bought ones as gifts during the season. The food and desserts you describe sound mouthwatering! Χρόνια πολλά!

@Nathan_Hale. Ι made the subtitles. You can trust them. The purpose of the translation is helping the Greek learner not making the perfect English form that's why in some videos the subtitles could have a better English form.
