7 months ago my 33-year-old son who lived with me died. We were snowed in and he was going through severe alcohol withdrawals trying to get off of it. He walked to the bottom of the hill where my sister had two beers but he didn't make it. My brother-in-law found him and he said he gave him CPR but he had to run back to the house to call 911 at which point I got there and gave CPR for 10 to 15 minutes until medics could get there. It's true when you do proper compressions their lungs and their mouth will gasp as if they are partly getting air from the lung compression as well, however I still gave two breaths every 30 presses because I tried to imagine myself going without a breath or not much of a breath for that long in between and it would be hard. Unfortunately he went too long without oxygen and there was no response in his pupils. It's not the first way that I ever wanted to try CPR to save somebody....

Why did you start CPR after you tapped and shouted for help without checking his breath!!!!!!

Please clarify. Hands only CPR focuses only on chest compressions. Breathing is not required for how long. Is it true during Hands only CPR lungs to get compressed, and a little bit of air circulation also maintained. Pl clarify.

In blood there is oxygen saturation and it doesn't matter of we provide breaths for the patient. The only matter till the EMT arrives is providing circulation for the body especially the brain
