How to Dougie: bit.ly/DOUGIE
At the time this move was invented, the iconic Uncle Sam army recruitment posters were prevalent. These featured a drawing of Uncle Sam pointing at the reader and saying, "I want you for U.S. Army."
Instructions
1. Start with your hands at your sides. Draw your right index finger up your stomach and chest, stopping at upper chest height, index finger pointing towards your left arm.
2. Pop your right forearm outward to your right and slightly upward.
3. As you drop your right arm back down to your side, repeat step one with your left index finger. Repeat step two with your left forearm, pointing to the left.
4. As you drop your left arm back down to your side, repeat step one. Pop your right arm forward while bending your right knee upward and very slightly outward.
5. As you drop your right arm back down to your side, draw your left index finger up your stomach and chest, stopping at upper chest height. During this, unbend your right knee. Now, pop your left arm forward while bending your left knee upward and very slightly outward.
6. Draw your right index finger up your stomach and chest, stopping at upper chest height. As you do this, bend your left forearm back in, bringing your hand back to your chest. During these motions, unbend your left knee. Repeat step two with both forearms. Your right forearm should point to the right, your left to your left.
7. Bend both forearms back in, starting to bend your knees. Continue bending your knees, going down low. As you do this, pop both forearms outward like you did in step six.
8. As you let your left arm rest at your side, unbend both knees, coming back up. While doing those two movements, bend your right forearm back in, bringing your hand back to your chest.
9. Repeat step two, bending your right knee upward and very slightly outward.
Bring your right forearm back in, unbending your knee. Don't bring your hand back to the typical position; instead, move your right arm across your torso, pointing left. As you do this, swivel your torso slightly to the left and lean slightly back.
Another component of this movement is bending your left knee upward and very slightly outward.
Tips
Make sure that your points are crisp and that you make them with conviction. Imagine that you're pointing at a specific thing every time you point.Remember, whenever and wherever you're pointing, your head is still looking forward. The only exception is the final point, since you're also swiveling your torso.
