I always think I can't learn anything new but honestly, I learnt something off this video! The way I remembered ぬ is because it looks like め, but you have a hand in front saying you don’t want the pretzel - nu (no).

i remember "ho" by looking at it sideways (ほ )if you tilt your head clockwise it looks like HO with a line under it.

To anyone who thinks learning hiragana like this is pointless....you aren't right. Honestly, these relations in the brain help to start. Once you practice reading long enough you don't need to worry anymore but before that fluence is acheived, such mnemonics really help.

Learning Japanese has opened my eyes to English-borrowed words, English is my second language but I don't actually like English it's so inconsistent and well this is personal but I got bored of learning English because I can speak the language already so I'm jumping outta the boat to learn to swim again, But the difference is that I have experience learning a language so all the mistakes I made in the mistakes I'll just avoid them now The word tsunami is borrowed in Spanish too wow this is really surprising

I'm aware you're using hiragana to write English words, but for those reading comments, words like "ほてる (Hoteru)" are not written in Hiragana, they are written in Katana which an alphabet meant for foreign words and sounds.

im learning japanese in school, the first months our teacher was teaching us things that are normally written in katakana or they have their own kanji in hiragana just so we could practice our hiragana and it helps learn katakana

It depends on the person. Writing them down helps a lot. I think the key is to really visualize the associations while you watch the video. I would suggest writing each one down ten times and then testing yourself.

Don't worry so much about how long it takes, because you will see the hiragana a lot, so they will quickly get stuck in your brain.

I'm glad you like the video! I also think it helps to write words (like the ones found in the video) rather than just repeatedly writing each character, since this assigns meaning to each kana and is less boring. Good luck!
