Hey folks, around 2 minutes into the vid, there is some kind of echo, now sure what happened there. But I probably won't reupload. It seems like it lasts about 30 seconds, so my apologies and again, please enjoy the vid and thanks for watching. Also I meant to say F# for the key, not Eb.

Such a blessing to have you break piano parts down. Taking some of the mystery out for me. I’m grateful! 🙏

Sean, great teaching! You mentioned working on those “fundamentals”. Do you have any resources that you could point to for someone who is just learning how to play in a gospel style, even with decades of piano playing under their belt? Appreciate any advice.

You are a professor - going ahead to show us impossible sounds and yet break them down - how do you do it? Who are you ?

Why did you say Eb instead of F#? I get that the former is the relative minor of the latter, but is there any specific reason why you chose to say the piece is in the key of Eb?

It was an accident

Understanding the scales provides clarity for why it's in Eb min. He's being specific.

It’s about which note “feels like home”, that’s the tonic note. This stuff is based on Eb because it has that minor sound. If you played these same Licks over an F# base note, it would sound very major.

That's how Americans think, they see a song on 6th minor of a scale as the 1 of the scale where they are on.

so don't worry about the bad audio, but is he singing out of key on a couple of bars?

Joshua is great , but for me ( ME ) , it's just a bit too much ... Certain parts he plays is awesome to listen to , but then it's almost like he move from 20kms per hour to 90kms per hour 😂😂😂... But it's still nice ...just a bit too much for me ...I have learned in life , sometimes less is more 🙏 I love Sean's playing and debunking though ...awesome 🙏🙏🙏

Yes i agree, it was too much, but it sounded just perfect for real lol.

You have amazing videos that feature talented musicians, but no anointing. He's great, but you take away from the song and singer with all the runs. The focus is more on the keyboardist and the message is lost. You know the job of the musician is to accompany the singer, not overpower them.
