When you reached for your stack of molds as you were explaining things to us, did I hear a soft chuckle slip out from your husband lol? Hi think he was reacting to your impressive pile of molds hahahaha 😜. Now I know you do this for a living and you have collected your molds over a long period of time in many many projects. That you don’t just go out and spend several hundred dollars on a bunch of molds for one project. And I appreciate you explaining to us out there that we don’t have to have years of Collections of supplies to do this. But yeah we should take good care of our supplies so that we can collect a good assortment for future projects. You have so changed and inspired the way I see a piece of furniture now. Forget just slapping some paint on…no way. now I know that we can create art with a piece of furniture 🖼

Yes marty was laughing as its embarrassing as that is only some off them and he sees what I buy out of the buisness... I have probably collected and gathered those over a 5 year period... I find now I don't buy as many as I have everything I need... Although don't tell marty. I look after all my furniture art things as I believe they are an investment. However I remember when I had one mould I just used it creatively over and over... So one is enough... Thanks for watching Mikki x

It’s taken me a while to watch this video cause I’m also having to stop and do other things… Like driving you crazy with all my comments lol🤪. One of the bonuses of buying one of your pieces of furniture is that the person who buys it and their guests and family members can get lost in your masterpieces. What I mean is they can stare at it and stare at it and come back and look again another day and another week and always find something new in your creations. Kind of like what’s hidden in those hidden pictures that we used to get like in these magazines when we were kids and now they have video games on your phones that do this too. Your creations are just so complex and beautiful that the more you look at it the more surprises and bonuses you get it’s like oh I didn’t know I had that on this furniture ☺️.

I use resin to Judy it depends on what kind of look I'm going for the clay cracks and looks more aged when painted resin as you know is perfect and easier less messy.... But yes have a go start on a frame or something small and have a play x

Hi its not gold wax it's gold guilding acrylic it doesn't shift, you are correct wax would smear. I'm glad you are starting to understand me you could always keep the subtitles on ha ha

Do you have to deal with clear wax over the stenciled wax dries? Or is the first clear wax you did enough?

The clear wax is sealing your piece the dark wax stencil will just seal onto your piece, do not rewax it will smear X X ❤️❤️❤️

HI Lel, Hi Marty, I hope that you are well, that you are staying warm and enjoying yourself. I have returned to this video because I have a question. A few months back, I used your kind of air dry clay and molds and created some flowers and leaves for my lamp's base. Then I painted everything beautifully and sealed it. Well, something must have fallen onto the base of my lamp because one of the leaves is slightly chipped. This has made me a bit hesitant about using air dry clay for the molds for a tiny table I plan on selling. I do not want to use resin because of its toxicity. What can I do to make the air dry clay molds harder, more resistant to chipping if the table legs on which I will put these molds will get slightly banged against something? Hi there Eve How are you hope life is treating you well. I don't know what to say I've been applying moulds to furniture with this clay for years. I recommend it because I'm actually a ceramic artist a potter. I find it very hard when cured. I've found it so robust that if I want to change a piece of furniture I've had to use a hammer to remove it. And it doesn't chip of when hitting it it takes effort and muscles ha ha to remove and generally come of in one piece. I've not had it chip or break on anything I have done, that would be bad for buisness. As a rule of thumb I never apply them onto a painted surface only onto the wood then paint them but that said there is an odd occasion that I do. So I'm stumped for an answer to give you. Are you sealing it appropriately? 2 good coats of a quality sealer? The clay I use I love and have huge faith in... So if its not working for you I guess it could be variables like sealer or curing. And humidity can play a part. My suggestion would be if you don't have faith in what your using then try other brands this is what I would do and have done till I was happy. This way you find one your happy with and see if it works out better. Sorry your project suffered an issue. Yes we are very cosy in our temporary studio. Hope you are well. Lel x x

I feel bad because most of my friends live in the northern hemisphere and are cold. Here in Miami the weather is best this time of the year. Just perfect.
