The fins of the blower have to be sharp in order to create the 'drag' effect and pull air through the evaporator coils. If dust accumulates over the fins, the shape of fin-blades becomes rounded and they will no longer be able to create that effect. Also, if the blower blades gather dust, it will reduce the 'volume' between the blades - which will further reduce the drag effect. As a result, a dirty blower will not be able to suck air from the room and your cooling will reduce. Also, when the ac is unable to exchange heat with the room air, the refrigerant gas reaching the compressor(though wider pipe) will be chilled greater than usual. The PCB will detect this and shut down the compressor cycle - leading to short-cycling - and it is bad for the ac. So remember to clean the blower also, apart from IDU filter. Dust is a bad conductor of heat, so apart from physically reducing the space for air to move in, it also acts like a thin-layer of insulator over the fins(of evaporator coils, and condenser coils) and prevents exchange of heat between room air and evaporator coils.

I cleaned it by turning on ac on fan mode on top fan speed and slowly touching a paint Bruch on blower it was cleaned in a minute then did the normal service of evaporator with some water sprayer bottle and tooth brush.

Mmm. Was it pretty seeing mould and mould spores blowing out of your unit??! Don’t mistake me, i have tried this myself and seen footage of others doing it. It’s a health risk! Never dry brush. At least dampen it with enzymatic cleaner first! 😚
