Learn How To DANCE - Hip Hop (Time Lapse)

DancingScientis... Journey in learning how to dance: A Time Lapse video from when I started learning how to dance Popping, a hip hop & funk style in July 2007 through the most recent freestyle in January 2009. (1.5 years) I have not stopped since then and appeared on Season 5 of America's Got Talent in 2010 and my dance videos now have almost 11 million views. I am very proud of my humble beginnings and I want to show people that it is possible :)
It was difficult and emotional putting this together, I have come a long way. A big thank you to everyone that supported and inspired me... be it through KZbin, or in person.
I hope this shows that YOU can learn to dance too. No matter what size, age, race, financial situation, or location... Go for it. Start with youtube and dance your heart out. EXPRESS what your HEART has to say, be it happy or sad. But also get out there and find other dancers :)

I wish I did before/after for myself now! I never thought I would get much better, when I started I could barely rock my hips. I thought there was no way I could dance in front of people. I was super stiff and had no coordination. A year later now and I could dance anywhere if I wanted to :) Never give up, no matter how sucky you think you are now, if you keep trying at it now and then you'll get there!

MinockerSpanichle omg right! I'm Filipino and my mom can move her hips really good so when I was younger I tried to dance I LOOKED LIKE A ROOBOT THAG NEEDED OIL... I'm 14 now and I been practicing and I can move my hips really good now yay! So practice makes perfect 😂

I've always been embarrassed to try and dance because I didn't want to look like an idiot. But, the craziest thing is I always watch dance videos on KZbin or watch my friends who are dancers. After watching this video I now feel obligated to try and learn myself.

I'm in my 6th month dancing, it does take time and commitment. The way it is is that every body who starts dancing is a flower. But every person blooms at a different time. Just keep practicing and know that when you perform. People will become jealous of how poetic like your dancing is. I learned by watching marquese Scott aka whzgud2. It takes time but you will achieve it one day.

Props man! I'm a dancer (as in classically trained) I grew up starting at 13 in a dance class and attending Magnet schools. The area I was in, there was no true hip hop or break so what did I do? Go to video. No youtube, all VHS play pause play pause... and broke it all down day after day. It is possible, and watching your transition from ground zero to teaching is inspiring and what I tell my students everyday. I was not given this talent I cultivated it. Props to you son!

Thank you for this because after watching I now have the inspiration to dance. I've had a person tell me I could not dance when I tried to do a move they were teaching me. It hurt my feelings but after watching a music video recently I got that desire to express myself through dance. Must say I enjoyed watching this, it's like seeing a baby take it first steps, then walking perfect and then running, jumping, climbing and everything. Thats really great!! I have a job in a warehouse where they let me dance all the time. I watch the tutorials and go with what I remember from when I was a kid in the 80's (oops, I just aged myself!) hanging out watching the break dancers, they would teach me stuff, but its been a long time and I am rediscovering all this and I am totally re-inspiried!
