Unfortunately on iOS, you cannot add your own music in the Insta360 App. It’s an iOS restriction. You need to export your video from the Insta360 app, import it into iMovie, and add your own music 😊

Sir can you make a review which phones are suitable for insta 360 camera i guess this is one of the issues ive seen, If you dont have a modern phone you will have a problem of making good captured image and videos thanks in advance.

It's a challenging subject because it's not only the phone that matters. It's what's on your phone too. If you have a lot of apps which runs background processes then it will effect the Insta360 app. Everyone's phone is different. So even if people have the same phone, the performance of the Insta360 app will be different. The best guide you can follow for phone compatibility is on Insta360's website. They have a list of phones which are tested and working.

I am just starting to use my Insta360 X3 with the app. I created a story using clips, as you show on the tutorial, but when I go to export, I get a message saying "one or all of the 360 clips are unedited. Please edit them and try again". I don't know what they mean - I've trimmed the clips, added filters, transitions and audio. Is there something I'm missing?

Use the spilt tool I show the in the video then you can cut it into 10 clips 😊

You can edit the 15 min clip with scissors. Start at the beginning go as long as needed use scissors to stop. Slide past a section you don't want and use scissors again to start and slide over and scissors again to stop and so on. This will give you all your sections you want as well.

No way to add text at the moment. You will have to use a third party video editor like LumaFusion or iMovie

On iPhone, the only way to access the file structure is to use iTunes > Insta360 folder, IMPORT folder

No you can't save to SD card at the moment unfortunately. There is no good workaround for iPhone at the moment 😕

It’s not a 360 camera or super wide lens, so there is no ability to reframe. You can only choose the fov options in the app, ultra wide, linear etc

Might need to export the clips and put together the clips in another video editor like LumaFusion. Or you could even reimport the clip into the insta360 story editor 👍🏽

How can we upload a 360 video directly from the Iphone without a PC? I did it once but I forgot so I know its possible. I keep trying but no succes. What I do is when I export the video, there are the options provided to export for KZbin, Facebook etc or to download the video in flat or 360 so of course , I tried the 360 version, I wait and the video is saved into my Iphone camera roll as a flat 360 video looking awkward but thats ok, camera roll does not support 360. But problem is, when I click youtube button from Insta 360 app , it only opens youtube app with no video loaded so you need to manually load your video from the Iphone roll BUT problem is, after I upload , KZbin does not see it as a 360 video. Metadata is already injected by the Insta app, which is true because opening it from third party apps or even with Insta app, the video from my camera roll is in 360, I can spin my phone and look around, or drag the video to look around. But still , youtube doesn’t recognise it as a 360 video, even after one full day it still showing a flat version. And everything I have is updated. Any thoughts?

Thank you for your video ! However I am facing an issue with new stroy creator. When I select footage and afterwards if I try to add music , in Preview of music window all keyframes gets shaken up...All pivot points get lost also music preview is not heard , instead some noise comes , if you still continue to click the tick button , then you can see video normal and music appears but if you save it to draft and go back ....All you can see distorted keyframes / pivot points , you need to work all again....What is this issue ? Great videos, thank you for putting these out! I have watched a couple of them now that I have a onex2. Question as I have been fiddling with the app this afternoon. I edit in albums, get a couple of clips how i want them, then flip over to stories and piece them together. They all revert back to the original view (they are still trimmed). Am i doing something wrong? or is clicking stories, selecting the clips you want and editing them in here the best way to do it? work flow i found was, edit in albums export it to my device then in stories i would take the video clips from my phone and piece them together. Not the ideal workflow in my opinion.

It’s different on different phones. So you’ll have to use the best way for your phone. On iPhone I just edit everything in the stories editor 👍🏽

1. Not possible yet. 2. You can edit from camera and charge camera at the same time 👍🏽. But once you offload the footage from camera then your edit will not be accessible

Is there any way to do “roll edit” of a clip in the timeline: I add 3 clips to the timeline, set their lengths to sync with music of my choice and than I would like to choose which parts of the source clips will be in the range. I.e. there are 3 10 seconds long clips added to the timeline but the source clips are longer than 10 seconds. And instead of choosing starting point and ending point for the desired 10 seconds I would like to choose the length first and than just “roll” through the source clips and choose which range will be visible. This is what I’m used to do in FCP...

OK i'm still not entirely clear on the work for let's say multiple 360 (360 mod NOT 4k) clips (using ONLY Insta360 One R app for ANDROID) - i'm getting slightly confused between editing in Insta360 Album or editing in Stories. I have 9 360 unedited clips. I want to edit, reframe, trim, time-lapse all of them and then merge them all into one long clip (i.e. a story). 1. Do I edit (reframe, trim etc) all these clips in Insta360 album and then import into Stories to then merge. Or: 2) Edit these 9 clips in Insta360 album, export to Phone album then import to Stories to then merge OR 3) Import all these clips without any editing into Stories and do all the reframing, trimming etc here and then merge? Method 1 is easiest. Create the shot in album tab. Import the shots into stories. Then tweak the shots in stories

The latest app version is complete junk. Can't edit with key frames, half the Story features don't work, plus Studio 360 is a joke. Great camera but the sofware are practically useless.
