People check the title carefully, It says WITH HERRINGBONE STITCH. You will understand it if you have done the hand embroidery. she demonstrated it perfectly. Thankyou so much

Okay. So this is interesting. My great grandmother sewed a lot when she was alive, she taught my mom a completely different way of making a knot. She made the two ends of thread even, wrapped around her finger two times (not to tightly) and then rolled it off her finger and pulled. Who knew there were different ways of doing this! Lmao

I'm trying to fix my boyfriend's work clothes he wears button up Dickie shirts where the seam in the shirt sleeves the thread has started coming out all the way around.... What's the best stitch to use?? I've looked n searched on here it pulls up everything but what I need lol... I'm just learning to sew by hand... Thank you

Is it in the hem (the part that is at the end of the sleeve) or where the sleeve meets the shoulder? Also, is your goal an invisible or durable seam?

How to do that stitch with blue threads?

That’s a zig zag stitch done by machine. It uses two threads so it’s fairly different from what you can do by hand. Because this is a woven fabric which tends to unravel if left unfinished, the zig zag stitch was done along the edge of the fabric to prevent unravelling. I’m not sure what the alternative would be if you don’t have a machine.

Maddy Murphy when the stitches are done, turn the fabric over and see how *invisible and unnoticeable* that the stitches are. That is the idea.

This tutorial is unclear. You state you are going to show us how to make the herringbone stitch and show us an example of it, which looks nice and has consistent stitching. But instead of showing us how to make it on a hem you stitch over it and it is hard to see the stitches you are making because there isn't enough contrast and your stitches aren't the same size or shape as the one you showed us at the beginning. You only make 3 stitches. Even when you show the finished results it is difficult to tell the two rows of stitching apart. If you wanted to show us two looks to the same stitch it would have been better if you had stitched a separte hem and then showed them both at the end. When I saw this video I thought I recognized the brand and anticipated a high quality tutorial and planned to subscribe if it was as good as I thought it would be. It was not a quality tutorial, And as an accomplished seamstress I will not be subscribing to your channel.

The instructions on how to do the knot at the beginning are terribly vague. I’ve rewatched it 5 times and have no idea.
