Whether you want your feline to have green, yellow or orange eyes, you'll have fun painting it walking into the foreground of this enchanted spiritual place, that may resemble an alley way, forest, or the inside of a haunted house with a Halloween holiday storybook illustration feel to it. You’ll learn how to paint this playful rendition of the Halloween, which is a celebration observed in many countries on October 31st, the eve of the Western Christian feast of All Hallows' Day. Learn how to use simple painting techniques for blending the background for added depth and atmospheric dimension. You can personalize the type of eyes to be that of a cat, bat, goblin, ghoul, witch, ghost, zombie, or spider, or you could paint all of them! You could make the scene appear to be more ghostly, creepy, or make is look more outdoors by adding falling leaves, corn stalks or more pumpkins. This is a painting inspired by the fun spirit of the holidays and the imagination that can be sparked by their symbolism. Let the characters be the frightening focal point and the colors natural with vibrant hues using carefree paint strokes. You’ll learn how to add a realistic glow from the inside of the carved pumpkin that shines bright through the mist and casts a reflection on the ground in front of it, and a highlight on the black cat walking through the foggy air that will have a 3D realistic affect. Michelle, I work in a nursing home in the activity department, and I take all my painting that I had done from your tutorials and hang them in our dementia unit. I had painted this one and my boss hung it on our Activity board for Halloween along with the “Boo” bees. Our one resident fell in love with it and offered to buy it from me, so I painted another one just for him. Good Morning, Sure, you can get similar results, however, the paint I am using is a thin bodied student grade paint, so you may want to thin out your liquitex with a little liquid medium to get more fluidity for blending and the translucent fog/mist affect. Have fun painting, Michelle

What did you use for the guide lines of the eyes before you used the acrylic paint? I could make out the faint lines in the black background which is something I would need to do.
