I truly love watching your videos, you make it so easy to follow the instructions. You mention that all your canvas is primed, do you prime them, and if so, with what, or do you buy them primed? Keep the paint flowing.

Thank you! I buy all my canvases already primed. It's easier for me considering the amount I paint! You could buy yours and prime them with acrylic gesso if you prefer. I hope this helps!

Hi Summer, I usually do not seal my paintings, because when acrylic paint fully cures, it is very durable. However, I do sometimes seal/varnish my paintings for esthetic purposes to bring all of the sheens together. I prefer to use a spray (Grumbacher or Golden) or liquid gloss (Liquitex) varnish. I hope this helps.

Absolutely beautiful Michelle! Do you use any mediums to make the acrylic paint flow like oils? I know acrylic paint does tend to dry quicker.

Hi Michelle, I have a question. I want to do your painting of the dove by the moon and I need to know what do you use as a primer for the canvas

Hi Rose, I buy my canvases already primed. Most canvasses that you buy from the store these days, or online, are already primed when you buy them. If you are purchasing raw canvas, than you will want to put a layer of primer on the side that you want to paint. There is a product called Gesso, that is specifically designed to be a good adhesion primer for art canvasses. If the canvas you have is white on one side and tan on the other side, than it is already pre-primed, if it is tan on both sides than it is raw. I hope this info helps. Have fun painting! ~Michelle

I want you to know that I painted the sun, which you kept calling moon, lol, and the white dove, but instead of an egg basket I made a basket with rose buds. I changed it cuz I am using that for my mom's funeral. She passed away a week ago. She loved to see what I painted. I know she would have loved this painting if she could have seen it.
