Learn how to replace the track belts on your John Deere 8RT! The process is the same for all 8RT models. In this video, you will learn how to jack up and support the tractor, how to detension and tension the tracks, how to take the tracks on and off, and how to properly align the tracks for maximum tread and belt life.
Learn the tips and tricks! If you own an 8RT, it is important to know how to do this task because you need to either align or rotate your tracks just like you would your vehicle as you start to notice abnormal wear.
A track tractor definitely has more maintenance involved with maintaining track components but their performance in the field is unmatched. More traction, less compaction, greater maneuverability, and better auto steer performance makes them very popular with today's farmers.
This trade in tractor had 24" tracks on narrow track frames and it didn't take long to completely wear out the treads in the middle. Since this is a super clean nice tractor, we are going to upgrade these tracks with 18" Trackman belts from Loc Performance. These belts have fully molded guide lugs and tread bars, 50% more wires per inch over previous designs, consistent rubber thickness, wide center design for better clean out, and come in 16", 18", and 24" sizes. Trackman belts are designed and manufactured in the USA and are now available to buy through your local John Deere dealer!

Just got a new set of 16" wide for our 8360RT. We used to have the local dealer swap our track as we would change from 16" for row crop to 24" for tillage/planting with a grain drill. only going to use the new 16" tracks that we just got and put them on ourselves after watching this video. We just need to invest in the correct tools. Thanks for the info and effort you put into this.

Not suggesting anyone would want to do it, but how different is the tractor frame whether it is on tracks or wheels? The rear mud guards look as if they are for a wheeled tractor and towards the bow there looks to be the location for a front axel. Thanks for sharing, it must take time to set up to film and I do appreciate that.

Hello Zeth, I hope you are doing okay. I love your sharings and they are very informative. Thanks for your efforts to create good contents like that. I have a question to ask you and mind your opinion as I think you are equipped enough to give a good answer. The question is; •What’s TORQUE ? • What increases it in a tractor ? Thanks, all the best. 🎉🎉🎉
@ZKMasterTech
@ZKMasterTech Жыл бұрын
The best way i can easily explain it is this: toque would be how much weight you can bench press and horsepower is how fast you can bench press that weight. The main way you can increase torque is an increase in engine displacement, an increase in fuel and air, and more compression. The bigger the boom inside the cylinder, the more force is pushed down in the piston = more torque.

I saw that you removed the outer idler wheel. Have you ever tried removing the outer drive wheel instead? If it had idler weights, it might be a good alternative. I believe that pulling the drive wheel is the way it's done on Challengers when the tractor has a stack of idler weights.
