Great video! There has been a discussion in the forum regarding webhooks and if it is secured. Do you have any best practices you can share on how to use webhooks securely? We'd really appreciate it. Thank you for creating these awesome tutorials!

Hi thanks for the kind words. You're right to look for best practices in securing your webhook. I don't have a resource on that right now, but it starts with (a) checking if the service that is sending data to your Bubble webhook endpoint has a secret key that it sends in the header (check the webhooks area in Stripe, for example) and (b) enable headers when detecting data during your webhook's initialization since the secret key usually comes in the header with the data payload. You can then run a conditional to only run the webbook and workflows when the Request Data's header's secret key matches what you have on file. This would ensure the data is coming from the service you're opening up your webhook to. There are some other ways to bulletproof it that includes hashing values and getting more technically sophisticated, hope I will have bandwith to create that or if you'd like to sponsor such a video being made, reach out to me on my website and we can work something out to get you the knowledge you're looking for.
