I’m really really sorry to say that, but empathy, ethics, moral, law is something that can and is learned by people, not given with birth -> means AI can be taught to do that as well, it just still takes time.. as it was mentioned, no one knows what will happen in next 18 months, years? But people are also not ideal with matching the called out ‘human’ qualities… Also, no one gives a difference for automated with robots and computers factory that manufactures cars, or phones, or anything else cannot say sorry about your dead dogs. The number of cars with minimum level of mistakes and maximum level of quality shipped makes money. However, we will see what happens in a couple of years 😊

I'd say that named things have so many "shades of gray" that it is hard to believe AI could learn them all. Not saying it couldn't, but seems quite complicated. We still learning all these things by ourselves and trying to reach the depth of each concept. If we program AI, that means until we reach the level of deep understanding AI wouldn't as well. But maybe that is just our human ego talking :D

@@PassionateBA as soon as humanity gets the formula nailed, AI might be trained immediately. I don’t believe laws are not possible to be fed already 🙂

Oh yes, they could be, absolutely. At the same time, remember the 12 angry men movie. Using the laws and evidence, AI could make bad decisions without being critical and having empathy. To my understanding, that is what about Dr. Hung was speaking about as well. Just following the laws is not what we need, there must be other things. At the same time, surely having the full collection of laws, AI could help significantly in searching for precedents, loopholes and other things that may be useful.
