Thank you for giving me a bit more knowledge. Also your verbal presentation was completely coherent . Unlike that guys whistling comment! He is probably a parking infringement officer

Thanks this is great! Am I able to do the multimeter continuity test while the motor is still connected to the appliance circuit?

hi dude, great info that you give me as insight for a non electrician person like me, i have one question, if we check the insulation between positive / negative side with ground/body, what results that should be correct?
@electronicsrepairbasics_erb3 ай бұрын
Thank you for your kind words. I’m glad the information has been helpful to you. Regarding your question, when checking the insulation between the positive/negative side and ground, you typically want to see a high resistance value, ideally in the megaohms (MΩ) range. This indicates proper insulation and no short circuits. If you see a low resistance value or continuity, it could indicate a short between the positive/negative side and ground, which is something to investigate further.

@@electronicsrepairbasics_erb wow didnt expect your reply so fast. i see, so if they are above 1Mega ohm, that should be okay. Do we also need to expect 1Mega ohm, even the insulation testing is done on small hobbyists dc motor? or the resistance value should be lower for lower dc application?

Do you test the dc motors in gate automation the same way

All Motors have a Group of winding or inductors and rotors, so you will the same working principle to test it.

The whistling in your speech is intolerable. Killing my ears. Even at low volume. Otherwise, good info.

I didn't even notice the whistling until I read your comment. I wonder what it is about you that bugs people the most, because I know you're not perfect. None of us are.
