In Genesis 4:7? The word used there means “to do/be good” or “to do/be what is right” or “to do/be well”. If your translation only says “good”, you need to use a different translation like ESV or TLV.

May I ask why "יהוה" is read as Adonai? I can't understand the reasoning behind it based on the rules I learned to read Hebrew. But I realised it is the name of God, so maybe it is because it cannot be pronounced? I would really appreciate an explanation for understanding. Thank you very much!

Shalom from Florida, I have a question centered around Luke 9:22 relating to the Jewish nationalism at the time of Christ. I have noted from extra curricular material that a crucified Messiah was scandalous and a contradiction to Jewish culture and His apostles. I understand that the Jews of the time longed for national liberation, so Christ’s preeminent moral teachings were against what they had been taught. But here’s what I’m desiring to ask you, an Israeli woman. Did they not still keep The day of atonement at the time? How come they couldn’t put two and two together of Jesus being the One Ultimate sacrifice for our sins? Was Yeshua’s social and religious disruption that big of a scandal to where they did not want to see? God’s plan to place deception on their eyes? Curious what you have to say!
