I asked AI. It said that phrase expresses contentment being at the current location. So if you're happy where you are then there's no reason to go. It's very indirect.

Oh, sorry for the confusion. The phrase "すいません、その日は用があって行けません" is used to decline an invitation. "ここに来て良かった" is a separate example sentence.
