The kanji for "inn" was most interesting to me. It uses the radical for person 亻and one hundred 百 under the radical for roof, so it's easy to imagine how 100 people under one roof would be an inn! Great video, really helped me understand how to break down kanji I don't know yet

Lovely video! this might be wrong but at 7:35 instead of the kanji for mother, it looks a lot more like 「毎」 as in 毎日、 「海」 looks like 毎 but with the water radical added. This might be wrong sorry it's just a question ! 素敵な動画!間違ってるかもしれませんが、7分35秒のところで「母」の漢字ではなく、「毎」に見えます。例えば毎日(まいにち)の「毎」です。「海」は毎にさんずいが加わった形なので、そう見えるのかなと思いました。間違ってたらごめんなさい!ただの質問です!
@Naruhodo_Japanese_Kanji2 күн бұрын
Thank you for your comment!☺️You’re correct! Here’s the reasons why I put 母: The kanji ‘毎’ actually originated from the shape of the kanji ‘母.’ And also the kanji ‘海’ carries the idea of being like a mother(母) that nurtures many things, such as fish and seaweed. That’s why I referred to ‘母’ in this video.Hope it will make sense you!ありがとうございます☺️

Culture difference is a big obstacle. As a japanese, you may link some thing together in your subconcious because it's part of your culture or everyday life. But as foreign people may not understand how it related and didn't make sense of what you try to explain.

The english translations at 5:23 are all wrong. I was wondering what all those english words had to do with plants/nature.
