My favorite part is "Well it doesn't really sound like D sound but we don't have a choice", this guy is seriously funny in a way he doesn't realize and I think he puts in many effort. I pay for actual korean in person tutorials, and most of the time my teacher just say, THERE IS NO REASON, JUST KNOW it..Koreans are funny

I just had a breakthrough! I watched the part about yin and yang for the third time, and finally understand what you mean by certain vowels being "opposites". I did what you said and imagined 아 as a sound I was pushing out of my throat. Then I started with the exact same sound, but with a smaller mouth, and I imagined "pulling it back into my throat" instead of pushing it out. It came out as a perfect 어 sound! I have been struggling with 어 for awhile. I was sounding like "aw" until now. Thank you!

The incomplete way of pronouncing the final sound is actually very similar to Cantonese. But our final block never influence the next in standard pronunciation. Also the way that Korean's seperating the syllable sounds like Japanes. Korean inserts a different vowel though.

Hyungseok Song just a question, i saw that you're spliting the course into 3 stages on lesson 3. but stage one was supposed to have 10 lessons as the same as stage 2 and 3 but it only goes to 8 and theres not a stage 2 and 3? so this is kinda a "teaser" for the lessons on your website?
@purple3746
@purple3746 8 жыл бұрын
The videos uploaded on KZbin are more than just a 'teaser' because those are 30 min to 1 hour length of videos. : )) Each Lesson on our website normally consists of 4 to 6 parts. We upload one-part length of the video on KZbin, it's not exactly part 1 though, for every each Lesson. Yes, each stage will have about 10 lessons. That was our initial plan. Now we are building Lesson 8 (part 4) which will be uploaded very soon on our website. Yes, we are still building the materials for Stage 1. But, it will soon be finished. After you finish Stage 1, you will understand how Korean language works and be able to make a simple conversation and become intermediate level. We cannot promise we will start building Stage 2 soon because we've decided to focus more on personal tutoring for the beginners. : )

Juicy Pear no we don't learn it for no reason. 1: understanding a person in his/her language should be reason enough to learn it 2: it's fun to walk through my city and be able to pronounce the names of korean restaurants 3: why should we not learn a foreign language. We're forced to learn frensh, spanish, english, german (whereever you live) in school so why should i not learn a language that i'm interested in? 4: (a personal reason) i like the korean language. I admit i have been dealing with this topic through kpop as many others did, however, i like this respect in this language. It can be very formal and it's so different from german or english.

I’ve learned hangeul a long time ago but my pronunciation has never been good. You explained it better than any teacher I’ve ever had! You’re also very funny, so thank you

you are an amazing teacher. I am brazilian and i have been learned Korean gratefully thanks to you. Please keep posting videos for free because the majority of korean curses here in Brazil are really expensive and not everyone can afford it. Thank you so much for post it and being and lovely and patient teacher.
