can you share how to plot a function in 3d like f(x,y)= a(x^2+y^2) + b(x^2+y^2)^2 where a and b are parameters and can be changed using a slider on the tex document.

Hi there, thanks for this tutorial! May I ask if there is a "better" way to assign locations to the labels, other than the [above], [below right], etc? After all, this is a 2D way of labeling, and since we are working in 3D there are situations where one would like to give a coordinate adapted way of positioning the labels.
