Did you? I was told once that Brasilians have difficulty understanding European Portuguese.
@lucasl.64434 жыл бұрын
@@dappadondadda100 That's true. However, both Luca and Stefano don't speak as fast as the native speakers from Portugal (at least that's the impression I got), so it was easier to understand them. But in general, we Brazilians really have some difficulty in understanding 100% Portuguese from Portugal. At least I have that difficulty too.
@dappadondadda1004 жыл бұрын
@@lucasl.6443... oh okay. That's the main reason why I will learn the Brasilian Portuguese plus there are more speakers to speak with. Do you speak any other languages?
@lucasl.64434 жыл бұрын
@@dappadondadda100 That's great! The good side of learning Brazilian Portuguese is exactly the large number of speakers and the possibility of visiting such a large country and being able to use the language throughout the country. (Although the Brazilian accent itself varies throughout the country.) However, we would understand the Portuguese accent too, it's not that difficult to understand (we just have to focus a little more to comprehend it.) I think I can say that I speak English at an intermediate level (B1 more precisely). And a little bit Spanish as well.
@andrecarvalho96374 жыл бұрын
@@dappadondadda100 Brazilians are not very exposed to European Portuguese, but it only takes about 10min hearing it to start understanding 100%. The language is exactly the same, with only some accent variations and vocabulary. If you learn Brazilian Portuguese, you will be able to understand Portuguese from Portugal just fine.

Fantastic video, that gives a lot of insights into life of a polyglot. Can't wait to see the second part. I only want to adress the polish part and the word "zajebiście". It is perfectly suitable to use it when meeting and having conversation in private. Also, it is fine to use it on a YT, though in this partical situation I find it a bit inappriopriate, as it's an equivalent of "that was fucking great", which I don't think you intended to use, Luca. Perhaps other Poles view it differently. I almost cried, since all the wrap-ups were ending with words like "fantastic, awesome" just to finish with "zajebiście" xD. On there other hand, some part of me was dying inside. Keep up the good work! I really appreciate it.
@LucaLampariello4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment =) I am currently in Poland (Cracow) and I hear the "zajebiście", zajebisty, zajebany, k...a etc all the time ((not to mention a deluge of other forms of "Przekleństwo" that my Polish friends are teaching me). As for when I use these words myself, reactions are varied, depending on the person. Some cringe, some love it and laugh. That happens across all languages I know. Maybe I should make a video about bad words and when, how to use them ;-)

Ciao Luca .

It is quite interesting your video and motivates all of us who have studied foreign languages and have real motivation for foreign languages. I think it is really hard to be polyglot if that means to master more than 4 languages, some people on youtube called themselves polyglot but saying a phrase in 10 languages does not mean you are polyglot, a language must be practice everyday and is quite hard to achieve in all languages the same level of proficiency. Total admiration for you Luca.

Holy shit the way you handle Polish cases impresses me. You do have a slight accent but it's completely normal. A lot of language learners can just talk about certain topics to appear fluent (such as the topic of languages) but your vocab is really varied. One thing that you could change - don't say "ja", "ty" and other personal pronouns with verbs. We don't use them, that's why they conjugate. Stuff like "ja mieszkam w Polsce" will never be said unless yoh want to specifically put emphasis that YOU live in Poland. But awesome job anyway! It warms my heart to see people fluent in my language :D
