I became interested when I saw "7 minutes." But, this is a gloss over that doesn't tell you how to operate screen sharing. This is the biggest problem with this software. Haven't been to a meeting, yet, where at least one participant can't show what they want to.

Thanks for this. I'd like to have a tutorial on One Note - specifically about how in a group (class) each member has their own notebook with the team manager (teacher).
@competitivecomputingconsul1334 жыл бұрын
Hi Lana, great question. With Teams for Education, once a class is setup (as a team), a OneNote shared notebook is automatically created and found within the General Tab. The Notebook is a special setup, each student receives a section within the shared notebook that is dedicated to them (no other students can access another students section), you as the teacher have full control and can see each of the sections. Just make sure you are using the Education based M365 tenant that has the specific setup. Also, connect with us and we can certainly discuss providing training to your school.

One of my gripes with Teams is the Chat feature. Unlike Skype, where every conversation was saved in an Outlook folder with the person who started the Skype (From) and those who were on the call (To), which made it very easy to find a conversation on a particular subject, Team's Chat feature does not appear to have a way to do that. Also, to the best of my knowledge, there is no way to give the Chat a title; with Skype, you could title the Skype by simply entering the first line of the chat as the subject, which then stood out in the Conversation History folder in Outlook. These are huge misses in Teams, as far as I am concerned.

I've been using Microsoft Teams for a few years now. It's terrible, really terrible: - If someone messages you whilst you're composing a meeting, it's impossible to read that message without either cancelling the meeting request or finalising it, which may take some time if you're adding documents and writing an agenda. - It's impossible to highlight the names of people in a chat or meeting and Copy & Paste them into a new meeting request. I have a Chat thread with no "Arrange a Meeting" option, so every time I want to arrange a meeting, I have to take a screen grab of the participants and then type them in. - There are no clear borders between the different parts of the software, the text boxes etc. It's all a pale white, so you're left guessing where text boxes start and end and where different parts of the software are. Microsoft do seem to have made making bad software a great business model.

The company i work for have been using teams for a while for managers, now i have been told they want us to use it, myself I don't see the point, they have been trying to get me to use Yammer for the last couple of years and I refuse. I work in a warehouse sorting out stock and unloading and loading lorries, I don't see how Teams, yammer or any other apps of this type is going to make a difference to the way I do my work, it is just more bull. they say I can get notices and have conversations, I say that is what I have ears and a mouth for, want to tell me something, then do it via mouth. I don't want to have my work in my life 24/7, the only reason I go to work is to live. too much crap and too many apps for no reason at all, I can understand something like teams and yammer for people who don't work on site, but for me who work on site, I don't see the point. I don't know a lot about this team's roll out yet as i only heard about it a day ago, and I am off work for 2 days, so no doubt I will get the lowdown of it when I get into work, but they are not going to get me to use it, if they want me to use it then fine, in their time and on their computers.
