@qtometa how does declare index work if source page context (page list property typically) is left blank. How does declare index gets invoked. Also, if source page context is null how can we use the index property in a column source of a report definition (provided no class conflicts).

Hello @qtometa sir in a page list we can edit update or delete the data n number of times ,so how does Pega know that inside index class which instance got updated or deleted?

Good info bro,I have a small dout, 1.Is declare index generally used for page list property or it can also be used for page type/group. If so while referring a pagetype opening a single record from index table how do we pass the index count key and purpose? 2.And for page list type do we really need to create all rules instead we can give optimize for reporting in the page list property and mention the rulset the index rule will be automatically created and the properties are mapped

Hello, Question is where we use indexed table data and answer is mostly for reporting with filter condition key or we browse the data with key for some business condition/filter. Very rarely you will get a scenario where you have to open one record.We don’t need to do any obj-save kind of method as these are getting saved automatically. 2. Yes , we can create rules using pega optimization wizard as well.
