Psalm 23 - A Psalm of David:
“A psalm of David: The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not lack. He lays me down in lush meadows; He leads me beside tranquil waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in paths of righteousness for the sake of His name. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will not fear evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the view of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil, my cup overflows. Surely goodness and grace will pursue me all the days of my life; And I shall dwell in the house of the Lord for the length of days.” (Psalm 23)

Your teaching is a great blessing for me. I have a question. I imagine the Hebrew taught here is the same as Jesus would have seen. Is that correct or has the Hebrew now used been modified over the centuries? Does the spoken Hebrew used today sound different from the way it sounded 2000 years ago. Thank you 🙏

I think, it’s a mixer of of 3 languages, (Biblical time period). Aramaic/Hebrew/Greek… but, she’s as pure as she can be, from what historians & common language allows.

@@ronwells5375 would that be for the written form as well as the spoken? I was thinking that the ancient Hebrew written scriptures are still around in the original form and at least they should be unchanged even if the modern pronunciations might differ greatly?

In the word בנאות why is the shwa of the second letter not pronounced since it is preceded by a letter beth with a dagesh inside it.
@uiticus
@uiticus Жыл бұрын
@@TheWORDinHEBREW You mentioned in lesson 3 that a shwa will be vocal if it follows a letter that has a dagesh in it or it is under a letter that has a dagesh in it. Here the first letter is the letter bet with a dagesh in it so the shwa following it should be vocalized.

I was lucky to found pure hebrew psalm it in youtube , from a person originally from bukhara .but i can not find it anymore ! Abraham shmueloff is the person pronuncing correctly . This deformation of hebrew is because eastern european can not pronuonce a semitic language sounds.
