I just finished this, and you've taught front end, back end, data phenomenally! Well done, this was a really big help in my student career studying software engineering. As most of its theory, I really understood how to apply all the theory. Thank you so much!

Hi Malachi, first of all thank you very much for your effort, time, it is a great resource! Just a quick observation/tip from my side: you can have two separate command lines and have your Rails app running constantly on one of the both, whilst doing all other operations on the second one. This way you do not need to stop and restart the server when doing other operations.

Hey thank you for your video ! I've noticed that in the tutorial, the user_id is being passed from the front-end through a hidden input field when creating a post. While this approach may seem convenient, it raises security concerns as it exposes sensitive information to potential tampering by malicious users. To ensure a more secure implementation, I've decided to associate the post with the currently authenticated user directly in the back-end logic. This way, we avoid the risk of exposing user IDs through the front-end, enhancing the overall security of our application.

Hello! Maybe someone else will have the same error. Before moving on to the “01:13:02 Connecting User Authentication to Post Model” block, delete posts that you created as a user who has not yet registered (Perhaps I missed this point🙃). Or instead add User deleted or not assigned And thanks for the video, I learned a lot of new things for myself

Hello Malachi, I would like to ask you about something really important, if you're a junior web dev. knowing js, python, and ruby; but you choose to continue with ruby. Is it a good move towards finding job easily or going with Django or React Js to enter the field and get the job you want? I know that there is no comparison between no. of jobs of ROR and React, and there are a lot of jobs in the pool, but meanwhile a lot of people also going with you in the Reactjs direction. So is it better to be unique as ROR and wait for the suitable job or get into the pool with others ?

When adding like, on screen you added this code: add_index :likes, [:user_id, :part_id], unique: true part_id is not correct, it should be post_id ? add_index :likes, [:user_id, :post_id], unique: true to rollback last migration I tried: rails db:rollback But that didnt work, so after i fix mistakes in code I tried: rails db:schema:dump rails db:schema:load Seems like that solved problem but i lost all users/images. When adding follow up functionality, in users_controller we must use user_path(@user) and not users_path(@user). users_path(@user) throw error.
