I studied at Educa for 2 weeks last month and I really recommend it to everybody. Sure you can study at home, but when you find yourself in the center of Saint Petersburg (the school is located 2 steps from the Ermitage... just WOW), and you meet so many interesting people, hang out, have fun, learn a lot... you realize how much the environment matters... I learned a lot from my teachers, and also a lot from the streets of Saint Petersburg. Also, it gives you so much motivation to keep up with the language when you come back home, because once you tasted Saint Petersburg you definitely want to come back! P.s. I rarely comment on youtube, but this time it felt right, to say thank you to the school, and also I want to say a big thank you to you as well: I'm following your channel and it's very useful to me, in particular I find very useful the slow russian and vlog videos! What a pity I missed your visit ad Educa, I would have liked to say hello in person... maybe next time :-)

@@serdnae I didn't know any Russian before, I was starting from zero. The experience is very immersive and you can acquire the language at a very fast speed. Of course you don't learn Russian in 2 weeks, I would suggest a few months, but it is true, or at least it was true for me, that 2 weeks there it's like 2 months at home. Being at Educa let me know other students, we would hang around together, also the school itself organized various trips, and I think that, apart from the courses, also the immersive environment did a lot. I learned many words and expression from the city, just hanging around and talking to people. At the school everyone speaks English perfectly, but outside the school not many people speak English so you have to force yourself to acquire Russian quickly and that helps a lot. Personally I forbidden myself to use English outside, and tried to make myself understood in Russian, it was also a lot of fun and I was feeling very proud of my improvement. :)
