Dear Both are absolutely valid, especially, for SSC. All just depend on your understanding. If you feel like to continhe with Pitman Shorthand then continue with that otherwise Gregg Shorthand as it is very easy.

I know he made a mistake. The thing is in vein after v there will be w and Then n. As for van v then a then n, only the circle ⭕️ will get bigger to represent a in van. In vein the circle would be smaller
