Learn SpringBoot in 10 minutes | SpringBoot REST API Tutorial

Learn how to create a REST API using Java with Java Springboot and Java Spring MVC in this programming tutorial. We'll use the Spring Initializer to create our base Spring project and from there, we'll add a route using RequestMapping and a RestController. Let's assume that we have a system for library and we want to return some statistics about book borrows in given period in 4 different ways: 1) Stats for all users and all book genres 2) Stats for all user but only specified genre 3) Stats for all genres but only specified user 4) Stats for only specified user and specified genre And my idea is to make following endpoints: 1) /stats/borrows?fromDate=2000-01-01&toDate=2000-12-31 2) /stats/borrows?fromDate=2000-01-01&toDate=2000-12-31&genreId=0 3) /stats/borrows?fromDate=2000-01-01&toDate=2000-12-31&userId=0 4) /stats/borrows?fromDate=2000-01-01&toDate=2000-12-31&userId=0&genreId=0 But I don't know if it's a right way to do that in REST API.

Hey BlondieBytes, loved your videos, but you need to seriously do need to build more of Spring Boot videos. I had a question though, during the setup you chose Maven, is there a reason you chose Maven over Gradle? Gradle, I believe is meant for mobile devices and other high end devices, but Maven is used to produce simple quick web apps, correct?

Distress Call ! intellij on my office computer (Windows 10-Pro) doesn't download all dependencies via maven and i cant go around adding them manually since I have to test a lot of libraries and rest api's in order to build a system from scratch. What's the problem? How do I fix it. The STS is fine. But it bothers me since intelij is more easy to use. And especially for testing. should I reinstall windows 10. Please let me know soon. Save-My-Soul. The same repo and library is working and loading fine on my home pc intellij install i also have sts installed on my home pc. i have tried every single troubleshoot on the internet. nothing solves the problem.
