@@jochimschrank6971 I got the general gist of the story on first listening. I also understood about 80% of the questions, too. It was mainly new vocabulary/phrases that I didn't know. The second time listening was a lot better. Also, on the second time listening, I wrote the story, as well.

Me too, I think writing down is the most effective way. I also downloaded the video and extracted the difficult parts as an .mp3-file in order to listen to it again and again.

@@Tomme_S Hi there. Yes, that's right. I find it very helpful to write in Thai. It takes some time to master, but it's worth it. I would recommend keeping it very simple at first.

I spent a long time working on this, but it is a very helpful lesson. One suggestion: I had to use my cell phone to take a picture of the vocab words and story in order to print them out and use them to work through lesson. It would be helpful to have the words and story in the "links" section so it would be easier to print.

Extremely difficult lesson... How many years of learning Thai to understand this level, anyone..???

I've been learning for less than 6 months and I understand just fine... but I am learning with comprehensible input, not grammar books. If you are learning with grammar books it could be half a lifetime instead of half a year.

Actually about 3 months of comprehensible input plus Pimsleur, Dino-Lingo (comprehensible input for kids), and a few ThaiPod101 and LearnThai Podcast lessons for about 4 months, so actually more like 7 months for me, but definitely does not take years to understand most of this. There are still some words I don't understand of course, but most of it is very clear and understandable to me.

Are you still learning? .. I have been learning for over a decade now 😂 .. this last 3 years I upped my game .. I understand all of this , CREAM caught me out as it's a loan word from English. Reading Thai has helped on my journey to fluency as once learnt you can say every word correctly. This has helped massively.
