As a Latin & Modern dancer, this is exactly what I needed, not too slow. Thanks for the home schooling Shelby 🙏 Subscribed!

This is fascinating; I tapped when I was a kid in Australia and what you call "flap" we just called "tap step", and the "running flap" was "tap spring". I'm thinking of getting back into it so your video is really helpful in learning the alternative names!

You do such a wonderful job, but I was wondering if you could call out the sounds while you are facing away from us. That's the way I learn by looking at the back of the instructor. LOL, by the time you get to the back view I forget what the step is. Thanks.

Where'd you get those shoes?
@shelbykaufman5 жыл бұрын
Karen Hennigan-Thompson these are the Miller and Ben Sportaps in white GT (which stands for goat leather, and is softer than the cow leather). I have tap shoe reviews posted on these and many other tap shoe brands if you want to check them out for more details.

Thanks for the reply. 💖 And thanks for the videos. I just noticed that you have over 9,000 subscribers. It makes me so happy to believe that tap is alive & kickin'! Any chance you can recommend a smallish tap surface that can be easily set up & struck again and that doesn't take up loads of storage space? Oh, and that doesn't cost a fortune. The only room in my house in which I could reasonably do any tap has very low nap carpet that I could lay something over, but it would have to come up for other activities.
