Friday, June 21, 2024…. I think this has been the best video I’ve seen for teaching brick stitch to beginners. For the last few days I’ve watched it over and over. Your explanation is simple, articulate and easy to follow. I can go to any point in the video and your precise explanations help me see almost immediately what I’m doing wrong. It’s not your teaching that forces me to come back, it’s my own personal errors. I’ll be beading along, 4 inches into the bracelet and somehow a bead doesn’t seat well or I feel like there’s too much thread showing. I’m a perfectionist so if I have to start over multiple times, the end product will be what I’m satisfied with. I love working with size 11 Miyuki delicas, they fit so nicely together. I took a chance for the sake of my own patience, and chose to learn the stitch with larger cube beads. I’m hoping as I develop my skill, I’ll be fully ready to work with my delicas. I’m excited for the possibilities! Thank you again for a terrific video (and as much as I love music, I enjoyed your mellow calming voice more than the background music people use to fill the non verbal gaps).

This is the first tutorial I have found that shows how to make even rows, so thank you! Everyone else claims brick stitch can only be a triangle!

Finally! You're stitch videos have been the best to sctually learn! You perfectly explain each step! Ive watched dozens to try to learn bead weaving without a loom and so many teach as though you should know certain things, like how to hold your work and such... anyway...lol thanks!!

Out of all the videos I’ve viewed on learning the brick stitch technique this tutorial was the most helpful and I’m left handed. Thank you!

Love your explanation. Really good. The way I learned I always ended with a triangle for Indian style earrings with fringe. I like how easy you show the creation of a rectangular piece of beadwork. Thanks for another lovely tutorial.

how to thread the needle. Do I tie a knot at the needle? I'm just starting to learn.
@AuraCrystals

Thread through the needle leaving a couple inches or more length going out the other side of the needle dependent on what you are comfortable with. Do not tie off the thread, as you bead make sure to maintain the extra length you pulled through.

I don't understand why we cut the thread and added a new thread? Why not just continue with same thread

Also, what I did is, I stopped the video, at the spot I wanted to be. That really helped also so I could see what she was doing.
