Amazing teacher. The course you are putting together will be a game changer for gospel piano. After 10years of following every online course and eventually coming up with my own techniques, I am finding that the courses aren’t set out to teach. When I learnt upper structures using medecks, it opened up a world of extensions to me. Excited for your course ❤

Really appreciate you my brother ❤. I can totally relate to your journey. It is very similar to mine. Trying to mimic the creativity of other players wasn't a bad idea, however that had me very limited and soon bored with what I knew and played. Tired of this, I delved into the basic concepts - the building blocks - behind the things they did, and it revolutionalozed my perspective forever, as it could only get exponentially better from there on. This course would be a game changer for many, with hours and hours of step-by-step detail on these concepts. Youl love it 100%. Stay tuned.

I’ve been using chord stacking for years but not as much as you are teaching. Need a PDF
@EasyKeysPiano2 күн бұрын
Got you. Il defintely see what I can do regarding the PDF. However am putting together a comprehensive course on the subject. If I may ask, how did you stack your chords previously?

Awesome. Think this is called Upper Structure
@EasyKeysPiano2 күн бұрын
That is correct brother. This tutorial just gives it a different approach to simplify how it is viewed and applied.

Very cool. Adding 6 sounds better than adding a 2 chord to my ears . The flat 5 sounds great. Did you play the major of the flat / sharp 5th note?
@EasyKeysPianoКүн бұрын
Thanks fam 🙏🏻. Yes I played the major of both the sharp and flat 5 chords on my right hand over the C7.

These are upper structures on dominant chord
@EasyKeysPiano3 күн бұрын
Thats correct. The approach to them is the concept of this tutorial.
@nukeman4443 күн бұрын
Excellent! You do a lot on that dominant 7th tri-tone.
@EasyKeysPiano3 күн бұрын
That is correct brother. Most of the upper structure chords are hinged on the dom 7.

Bro, no disrespect to you, but you are doing more demonstrating rather than teaching!!... Teachering is an art, and most musicians have no clue how to teach, even thou they are excellent players!!... When teaching think of your students, and they learn, there's absolutely no one size fits all.. Thanks 🙏

No no no. This is very clear and it helped a lot. You just have to understand the subconcepts of the things he's playing. Like number system, chord qualities, inversions, and voicings else this will be a bit of a stretch.

Thanks for your feedback and no offense taken at all. This tutorial is a short 9 minute video that can only allow so much. Checkout my other videos and youl realize I've done great justice to the sub-concepts highlighted in this video.
