How many beats in the bar? Is the whole pattern covering two bars? (Measures US)🌷

This is written tab for guitar, but I believe it's one measure. www.dummies.com/art-center/music/guitar/how-to-play-the-bo-diddley-beat-on-guitar/

@@UkuleleWonderlandwithMelissa Hi again, I remembered seeing this Ukulele Zen lesson from Stu Fuchs, in which he played the strum over 2 bars, which is why I was a little flummoxed. He also said there were lots of variations however. Thank you for your channel Melissa, I’ve subscribed😀🌷

@@pennyyoung2291 It's based on a 3/2 clave rhythm which is also done over one measure. By all means, go slow at first and listen to something with that beat. Bo Diddley is a good source! He has a title song, Bo Diddley where you can hear the beat with his signature tremolo guitar, but you can also hear this beat in George Michael's "Faith", "I Want Candy" by the Bow Wow Wows, and "Iko Iko" by the Dixie Cups. Where it can get confusing is when you hear it in songs where the drums are not as prominent as a lead for the rhythm, for example, Bruce Springsteen uses it in "She's the One", but the piano is the lead in the beginning so it's more subtle. The Who also use it in "Magic Bus".
