I teach English to my Chinese step-grandson, and it is a lot of fun. He really likes you and I have found that he will type a sentence in the chat using one of your phrases, and it has helped me greatly. He could hardly speak English when I started even though he had years of it in China. He is 16 now and speaks well enough to be understood, but he does a lot of translating. I have had a hard time trying to get him to make typed sentences forr me in Zoom chat, but he has embraced these lessons and talks more to me about your lessons than he did about 10 other people and lessons with Friends TV show. Thanks for being so comfortable that anyone can relate to you.

Hello from France! Thank you Bob for this lesson! Waouh it's so cold to me, I'm not used to it! Where I live sometimes it's snowing but it's not usual at all. We can be few years without snow. The year I arrived here . It was the first winter with snow since 7 years. There were children who never ever see the snow. It was incredible! Happy new year!!!

I am so happy to see you back at it! The snow looks incredible! Here in India we get snow in few states of north .Down south summers are hot and winter temperature hardly goes down to 12 to 13degree.. So it's always a feeling of awe when we experience a snow either in movies or videos!

I can tell that phenomenon. Every time I visit north of Japan in winter, l get my hair wet on purpose after washing my hands and go outside. It's kinda an experiment for me how crunchy my hair get 🤣 l really love it coz the lowest temperature of the place I live is around 0. Which means, l can't feel this phenomenon in my area. BTW, Happy new year 🎉 l'm really glad that you're back at You tube. My goal of this year is to perfect English with your lessons. I'm ready to do this😁

We had a few days the way the snow stayed around Christmas (not like last year). Back in the day, we also had plenty of snow around this time. I miss it. I have a question what is too long for a loive stream: Here is a word to which I found contradictory definitions: Precept 1, a command or principle intended especially as a general rule of action 2, an order issued by legally constituted authority to a subordinate official Precept 1, precept commonly suggests something advisory and not obligatory communicated typically through teaching. And I found these definitions on the same place so I am confused a bit. Can you explain it? How this can be a command, order, suggestion in once? Thank you, Judit

Hi teacher Bob ! By the way, can I call you "Teacher Bob"? It is polite in my country, but I'd heard that, in The USA, they don't call their teacher this way, or better say, It isn't normal. What do Canadians call their teachers? About the phrase "Back at It", is there another use, isn't there? In your example: When I was young I used to drive without the seatbelt on, today I look "back at it" and I have no idea what I was thinking. Thank you very much for one more lesson and welcome back. Bobonjour professeur Bob! I'm a little confused. would you maind to clarify some thoughts? Today I came across on this sentence: "We spent the major part of our holidays in the country." what meaning does it consists? "major part of holidays" can be a few days of wacation or part of all the holidays of the USA, like Christmas, Independence Day etc. Collocation "in the country" can means not abroad?or outside the city? in the village? How I should understand it? Can this be interpreted as "We celebrate most of the national holidays in our country, and a few of them abroad." ? Thanks a lot!🙂
