Hi Nandi, Thanks! I learned Framer from your videos and did a UX UI Course. But I don't understand how to start creating websites for people, Is it possible you'll make a video about the whole process of creating a website for a client? Do i need to charge them for domain or a server? Do I need to give them my framer account or they creating a new one and i will work on it? So many questions, I wish there was a practical video that can teach from 0 - Hero how can i take my framer skills and make money out of it. Thanks again!

Solid video!! I had many questions related to cms and now it much more clear! Thank you!! Btw, for real estate websites done in Framer, they'e also made using this cms tool? Do clients have to go to framer to update every property? or they can update something on an excel page that is linked and things would automatically appear and change on the real estate framer website? And how to add the search bar (to search from the content, like in your website) And thank you for the video!!!
@framer.universityАй бұрын
Glad the vid helped! You mostly have to update content from directly the CMS but plugins like the Google Sheets CMS plugin allow for synchronization. Learn about that here: framer.university/lessons/6-framer-plugins Regarding the search bar: it needs custom code. I might release and easy to use customizable component for that.

Why is the process of creating categories/filters so complicated and not automated? Every time we have to go through the same steps. Moreover, such a website cannot evolve without the support of a designer. If a client who is not a designer wants to increase the number of categories, they will not be able to do it on their own. Isn't it possible to create a block that automatically takes filters from the CMS?
@xyz09999Ай бұрын
this is greta! however when I navigate through my CMS I couldn't find "category" to be added to the field... do you know why
@framer.universityАй бұрын
in this example, there is another collection called "Categories" which houses a bunch of items each being a category. then on the blog cms collection you can add a reference or multi reference field where you're referencing specific item or items (category or categories) from the categories cms collection. hopefully this makes sense.

Hi, I need help with something related. How can I create a 'drop down multi-filter,' similar to the ones on e-commerce pages, that filters items in real time from my CMS and displays the results in a grid? But it's important that both info that were selected shows up. Is there a way without having to make that many component variants?

You can just replace the elements. And components need to have component variables, that’s how you can connect CMS fields to them.

I'm having trouble accessing the scroll bar in the properties area. I have to zoom out a lot just to get to component properties like text and image for the card component, and when I zoom out, it makes the text pretty hard to read. I'm using Chrome on a Windows 10 machine. Could you share how you’re approaching this or if there’s a workaround? Would really appreciate any insights!

Suppose, if there are 10 Filters for a CMS, then we've to create 10 variants along with that of different breakpoint variants also(mobile, tab, large devices). Is there any alternative which is more effective and scalable ? And if suppose a new filter is added we've to create new variants for that again. seems not scalable and easy to maintain

Brother, thank you so much for this insightful video! Could you create a deep-dive video on building a CMS-based website that specifically highlights the advantages of using Framer compared to other so-called AI website builders? I’m particularly interested in how a robust CMS can be developed for scalable websites that allows businesses to list and manage their services effectively. With the rise of AI, many clients seem to undervalue creative design and custom landing pages. They no longer see the same value in these services, which is why a strong CMS platform-one that enables scaling of blogs, services, or package offerings-is crucial. I've lost several clients due to a lack of CMS expertise, and I feel this would be an incredibly useful skill set. Could you teach us how to build a high-functioning CMS, similar to what’s used by sites like Airbnb or TripAdvisor, with diverse CMS collections that also support SEO? A course on this would be especially valuable, and I'd be willing to invest in it. Thanks again, brother! lot's of love from India ❤

If you ever have the chance, I’d love to see a complete tutorial on building a website-from initial design to delivery.
