I've studied the Hebrew letters for a month in an app. I've learned all the dots and then found out you don't really wright those ones out 🫠 I've started learning a few words. It's been so slow. I speak English and Swedish. I'm learning Italian and Hebrew with a focus on Hebrew. It feels like I can learn Italien twice as fast because I can relate to a few words and read the letters.I thought there were no words that were similar in Hebrew, but I was wrong. Thank you for your encouragement 🙏 You are fabulous 👌 ❤

Thank you! Yes, it can definitely be trickier to learn as new language when you also have to learn different letters. Give yourself the time you need and go at your own pace. We also will be coming up soon with an extended version of our book on learning how to write in Hebrew, maybe that could be something great for you! God bless you!

I learned it earlier this year. I've had a voracious appetite to learn all things Hebrew ever since 10/7/23 happened. I am these days focused on learning Hebrew vocabulary and sentence structure, and it is nice to be able to pronounce the words in english, but sound them out in Hebrew, especially when the learning videos I watch have the english and Hebrew equivalent words on screen at the same time!

how we can differ the function of shin sin and samekh in words
@HebrewaysАй бұрын
Hi Shalom! The letters of shin (שׁ), sin (שׂ), and samekh (ס) depend on the word, it's really something you learn over time as you build vocabulary and learn to recognize words. :) For example, a popular word: שמש (pronounced: shemesh) = Sun When someone has learned this word and saw it a few times, it becomes easier to know right away that the 2 letters ש will make the sound "sh" here. As for Samech ס, it always makes the sound "s" like the letter S. Makes sense? 😊

Recent Influences On Hebrew Speech The written script being taught as Hebrew is really Assyrian (10th century BCE, then Babylonian (800's BCE), and carried back by the returning Yahudim (6th century BCE). To view the Eberith script used by Shalomoh, Daud, and the prophets, research the Los Lunas Stone. The J and double-U (W) are letters never seen until the late Middle Ages, and we still see the inherited Masoretic vowels from the 8th century, non-existent in the Dead Sea Scrolls. The belief that the 22 Eberith (Hebrew) letters are all consonants and in need of niqqud marks is incorrect. The four letters of the Name of Yahuah are yod-hay-uau-hay; all vowels (H3068). There is no such sound of our modern "VEE" in the Eberith, nor in the Greek or Latin; it developed in the 17th century, and now behaves as a consonant. Vowels are speech sounds using only the breath and mouth cavity. Consonants are speech sounds that employ one or more of the following: teeth, tongue, lips, roof of the mouth, back of the throat, clicking, or buzzing sounds. More details, and proof that the Name Yahuah is four vowels: www.fossilizedcustoms.com//fourvowels.html
