Всё же, хотел бы вас предупредить, что вы не так поняли смысл мягкого знака у эР: мягкая Р не превращается в нечёткую Р, а становится палатализированной, как и любая другая согласная, которая палатализирована и это не влияет на громкость, чёткость и длительность. Вот в испанском две фонемы: R и RR - в русском же они являются аллофонами, причём одноударная эР является основной, а трель может появляться разве что во время эмоциональной речи, чаще в слоге под ударением. Я не совсем понял какие именно звуки вы произнесли, но по моему на попытке произнести РЬ, вы произнесли Р, а при демонстрации Р, вы произнесли РРР. То есть вы противопоставили фонемы как в испанском - количеством ударов кончиком языка. Русская РЬ может быть как "РЬ", так и "РЬРЬРЬ" во время эмоциональной речи под ударением: "Наши рьрьрЕки загрязнены! Это ужасно!". И твёрдая Р так же: "Наши ррруки изранены в борьрьрьбе за нашу Советскую ррродину!". В общем нужно учиться палатализации, на Ютубе есть про это. В том числе где-то у Фонетик Фанатика: кажется там, где он рассказывал про согласные, а может ещё и первые видео, где общие сведения.

I cannot think of a worse time for this than now. A language brings certain political and cultural codes with itself and provides an insight into a worldview. I find it insensitive to bring this to a public sphere for now.

There are always going to be different perspectives on this. I try not to bring politics into anything but sometimes it's unavoidable. Speaking and learning a language does not mean that you automatically start believing all the cultural beliefs from that country. Languages are tools and can be used for good and bad. The fact that I speak the language is very useful, especially in this situation in the world. For example I'm an English teacher and use Russian on a daily basis to help Ukrainian students learn English. I can also read the news from original sources to see what people are actually saying. Someone could also learn Russian to try and spread information. Of course I do not support anything that has happened in Ukraine and it pains me to see that happen. This is simply information, people can do with it what they want.

@kay @Languages with Tom This is such a sad thing to say. I recommend watching the videos of bald and bankrupt. He travels all over Russia to get rid of stereotypes and prejudice regarding Russia's people. In the most recent video he uploaded he actually got kicked out of Russia, but he says some really interesting things: kzbin.info/www/bejne/p6qlYp9jbZ5-e80 I hope this doesn't escalate into just another cancel culture debate. Tom´s content is educational after all. Please don´t get discouraged Tom :)
