I love the connecting notes between the triad chords 🫡 I use triad chords a bunch but somehow never dawned on me to connect them with melodies like that.

Such an eye opening lesson for me, I knew what triads were but didnt realize how they could be tied together using fills from the major scale. Thanks a lot this is going to be so much fun to explore.

Thank you Jack !!! as a player that just got a hold on triads (took me three months) , this lesson is the most important for the transfer from KNOWING something to actually USING it. The impact of this lesson is priceless and I will stay forever grateful to you ! love

Like Shimon said, *this* lesson is key. Yes, CAGED needs to be mastered. But seeing how you interleave them at 1 position, and then over 12 frets, and then tie them all with fillers from the scale... that sounds Pro. Thanks or the insight, Jack.

@@queasyRider3 Yes, the fillers in between make the melody sing. Fine lesson.

I always play an exercise with myself like "how can I play this progression by moving my fingers as little as possible" and yes it's basically triads. One iconic triad line is the descending verse crescendo from Is This Love by Whitesnake.

I also really appreciate your calm, though certainly NOT boring, teaching style! What made this lesson was using the scale shape of the song key to tie things. I have a tendency to twiddle about on each chord which is so complicated that you can get stuck doing the same things out of comfort and is less creative. Now need to do some scale run throughs 5 mins a day to really know them.
